PRACTICE SCHEDULE CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS
Any practice schedule changes will be announced in advance and posted to the web site. The schedule is likely to change during major school holidays/vacations or because of changes to the team's rental agreement with The Colony Aquatic Park.
Practice may be cancelled with or without much warning. It is The Colony Aquatic Park's policy to follow Lewisville ISD on all weather related closings. It is also the Aquatic Park's policy to close the pool when lightening is in the area. Practice may or may not resume after the storm passes.
Check email, Twitter and the web site for any emergency practice cancellations or changes.
ATTENDENCE AND BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS
Swimmers are expected to arrive on time for practice and be prepared to swim. They are also expected to compete in swim meets.
Swimmers may be dismissed from the team if their behavior or their parent/guardian's behavior is threatening or harmful to other swimmers or coaching staff. Poor sportsmanship and habitual disrespectful behavior, such as bullying, vandalism or harassment, will not be tolerated.
If a swimmer, parent or guardian's behavior warrants a disciplinary action, a verbal warning will be issued first. On the second occurrence, a second verbal warning will be issued along with the reminder of consequences. On the third occurrence, a third verbal warning will be issued and a written documentation of the incident will be sent to the parent and put in the swimmer's administration file. A parent/swimmer/coach conference will be scheduled if poor behavior continues. Failure to correct behavior will result in dismissal.
VOLUNTEER AND FUNDRAISING PARTICIPAITON
Parents are expected to volunteer at swim meets and events. When you register, we ask that you mark your areas of interest. At this time no volunteer limit is designated.
Fundraisers will be conducted throughout the year, and have yet to be determined at this time. Participation is strongly encouraged. It has not yet been determined if a fee will be imposed on those that do not participate.
PAYMENT POLICIES
The team administration fee and meet fees are non-refundable. Swimmers dismissed from the team due to their own or parent/guardian's behavior will not be refunded.
Monthly payments are due by the 10th of each month. Late payments and checks returned NSF will be charged a $25 fee. A monthly due is owed whether the swimmer participates in one or all available practice days. The monthly due will not be pro-rated due to missed days because of personal choices or unexpected incidents.
REFUND REQUESTS AND CREDITS
A refund for the monthly due will not be granted if the swimmer has attended any practice day during that month. The team administration fee and meet fees are non-refundable.
If you pay for a month, but don't attend a practice, you can chose to have a credit towards a future month, or request a refund. Credits must be used in the same calendar year and will not be refunded if not claimed. You must request a refund no later than 30 days after payment or the date you withdraw from the team. All refund requests are subject to a $5 fee. Refunds will be issued by check only and sent via mail. We will not send a refund check home with a swimmer. |
